The Mequon-Thiensville School District oversees the community's recreation department, allowing us to provide even more opportunities to the community we serve, including a wide range of enrichment opportunities. The role of the M-T Recreation Department is to create a closer partnership between school and community through greater use of school facilities and resources.

    We are looking for people with a passion to share and transfer the skills and knowledge onto others. The Mequon-Thiensville (M-T) Recreation Department offers a wide variety of programs and classes for all ages, but we still strive to provide more for the community we serve.

    If you have a passion for an activity, fitness or a craft/hobby and want to share that with others, we want to hear from you. Share that knowledge and skills you have developed with others, be it youth or adults. Contact the Recreation Dept. at 262-238-7535. Whether you want to volunteer your skills or desire to start a side career, there are opportunities that can be explored at M-T Recreation.

  • The Mequon-Thiensville Recreation Department strongly believes that all citizens should have the opportunity to participate in recreation programs regardless of financial status.  Program registration fees are set annually by the M-T Recreation Department.

  • Volunteers are important people in our community! School and recreation volunteers provide valuable supplemental support to teachers and students and provide vital human resources to enrich the educational experience. We are so grateful for all of our volunteers.

    Keeping our students, faculty and staff safe is a top priority. To help ensure safety, we have developed guidelines for volunteers. In addition, background screens for volunteers are a necessity. We have contracted with an online provider to facilitate quality background checks for our potential volunteers.

  • Code of Conduct for Players, Coaches, and Spectators at Mequon-Thiensville Recreation Department Programs

    The Mequon-Thiensville Recreation Department seeks to foster a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for players, coaches, and spectators in which:

    • All players, coaches, and spectators will enjoy the experience free from unsportsmanlike or negative behavior, and
    • Respect for players, coaches, and spectators occur at all times, and all involved parties will have appreciation for one another.

    THEREFORE

    • Any inappropriate negative/vulgar comments or physical altercation between a player, coach, or spectator towards another player, coach, or spectator may result in immediate removal from the program.
    • Any concerns brought to the attention of the Program Director will be investigated in order to determine the best course of action.

    Sportsmanship is at the forefront of our youth sports programs and it is our responsibility as adults to set an example for the kids so that they too can be good sports before, during, and after the games and events.
